More than 6,000 passed the Nurse Licensure Examination given by the Board of Nursing in June 2016.
About 14,200 nursing graduates took the exams held in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
Bernard John Ezra IV Rafols Icamen from the Cebu Normal University and Melissa Castor Malong of the De La Salle University-Health Sciences Institute topped the exams with a rating of 87.20%.
West Visayas State University La Paz ranked first and bested all schools in the June 2016 Nursing Licensure Exam for having 96 out of 96 of its examinees passed.
In the 2nd rank is Bicol University in Legazpi with 89.02% passing rate. 73 were fortunate out of 83 test takers from the said university.
With 86. 14% passing rate, Far Eastern University - Manila placed 3rd. There were a total of 101 FEU students who took the exam and 87 of them passed.
In the 4th spot is Ateneo de Zamboanga at 84.62%. 99 out of 117 test takers from this school are now Registered Nurses.
