What is PNA (Philippine Nurses Association) and how to become a member

Every profession ought to have an assembly where they could be nurtured and guided accordingly on their growth as professionals. The Nurses in the Philippines have the PNA or the Philippine Nurses Association.

The Philippine Nurses Association is a professional organization in the Philippines established to promote the holistic welfare of nurses and to prepare them to be globally-competitive. It used to be known as Filipino Nurses Association (FNA). It was founded by Anastacia Giron-Tupas in 1922.

Its Mission states "Championing the global competence, welfare, and positive and professional image of the Filipino nurse", and the Vision Statement is "By 2030, PNA is the primary professional association advancing the welfare and development of globally competitive Filipino nurses."

PNA occasionally provides seminars and conferences on various nursing issues in the country that would raise nurses' awareness of current trends and updates. The association has different chapters all through out the country where nurses are encouraged to register and connect with for updates and schedules of meetings or seminars.
