ANG NARS have continually upheld their advocacy to empower Filipino nurses who are professionally abused and violated in their workplaces.
Recently, several hospital investigations have been conducted regarding False Volunteerism, Contractualization and other types of job-related abuse. Now, the action has been leveled up a little more higher, ANG NARS Legal Assistance Program supported multiple nurses in filing cases at the DOLE - National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) on Feb 21 and March 1, 2017.
Here are the specifics of the cases filed by the nurses:
FALSE VOLUNTEERISM AND FALSE TRAININGS
--- Unpaid Salary, Non-regularization, Unpaid Overtime, Unpaid 13th Month Pay, Compensation for Medical Coverage due to exposure to HIV.
CONTRACTUALIZATION
--- Illegal dismissal, Non-regularization, Unpaid overtime, Unpaid Night Shift, Unpaid benefits.
The partylist encourages Filipino nurses to step up for their rights and be courageous enough to be heard.
